Since 21 January 1969, the Tygerberg Service Centre has distributed more than 1,3
million meals. Line up these containers, filled with warm, balanced meals, and you would
have a food chain stretching from Cape Town to Johannesburg, and back to Three Sisters!
Our main goal is to keep the elderly active in their communities for as long as
possible and to address poverty in the community through sustainable feeding schemes
and other services.
The Tygerberg Service centre and Meals on Wheels need your help! Our kombi was badly
damaged by a fire, and has been written off. We cannot continue to deliver our much
needed services with only one vehicle and the insurance money received will not
cover the purchase of a new vehicle. To date we have distributed 71 139 meals this
year, and we don't intend to slow down. If you or someone you know might be able
to make a donation to help us replace our vehicle, please enter your email address
below and click on Donate we will contact you shortly. Alternatively, donate by
contacting us on +27 21 939 4043

Knitting dolls for children is a small gesture that makes a big difference. Our members really enjoyed this project and will keep praying for every child that receives one of the dolls we knitted.
We took 39 of our members on a scenic drive which ended with breakfast at The Palms in Brackenfell. Thanks to the staff for the warm reception and everyone who made this outing possible!
